Thank you very much for your warm wishes. I am so sure of this decision and haven't felt nervous at all yet. Now Tuesday night or Wednesday morning may be another thing, but I know this is right for me! I will be sure to let you all know how I am doing. I can't wait! Lisa

Lisa, Congrats on your upcoming day! I had my surgery last Tuesday (the 2nd). It was the best thing I ever did for myself! You and I are starting out at very similar places. I am between 5' 5" and 5'6" and I was 479 when I started my one-month pre-op diet. On the morning of surgery I was 453 and I am now 438. It will come off quickly. My husband had surgery in June and he is down 85 pounds. I think your goal of 100 pounds by Christmas is very doable.. just remember, small portions of pure nutrition and LOTS of water and exercise as you are able and it WILL come off. I wasn't scared about the surgery but I was scared that I am going to be one of the people that it doesn't work for.. that I would somehow mess it up... I still have to do my part but I am starting to believe that this is for real. Enjoy your journey and hold on becuase it will be a wild ride like none other you have ever been on! Patti 479/453/180
