Hi Georgeann, Pre-op here. My original date for surgery was 8/24, but because of school I pushed it back to Dec. 17 during the Christmas Break. I waited for approval for about a month, but that was only because my surgeons nurse and the sleep center Dr.'s was holding things up. Once she submitted everything, I got approval in 4 days. My consults was not a long wait, 3 weeks, I have read people have waited months for their consult. No, I do not have an angel yet, but I am still looking. Well, I am in the final stages of my journey,I am just waiting on my date. I get all the help I need, already from my OH family. Just reading the postings and profiles make me feel better and better about the decision that I made. Need more info, just email me.... Nissah

Hey Nissah, I'm glad to hear that everything has fell in place for you. Now, you said that " I am in the final stages of my journey I am just waiting on my date." Girl, what we experience pre op to prepare for surgery are the beginning stages of our journey ... our journey does not end with surgery. Your journey will continue and kick off into another level once you're post op. Get ready Girl, because your day will be here soon. Georgeann

Georgeann Do you have a date for surgery? No not yet Are you waiting for insurance approval? Yes Are you waiting for your consult? Yes, with the surgeon Do you have an angel? Yes Where are you in your journey? I just had my first appt. with the medical doctor who took my medical history and did an exam.. I go back 8/22/05 to continue with my medical history (have a lot going on with me) and she will make my appts. with the dietian and psych. at that time. What kind of support do you need from the post op's here to help you in you journey. I enjoy reading the posts to get an idea of what to expect post op and to ask questions, etc... Tammy
