Hi! I am new to this board, but not new to OH. Registered Nurse Kat told me they had a board for BMI over 50 and I was soo happy. I just recently put a post up on my Juner's board, asking for others who were at my weight or above. Although we are similar in many ways, obviously there is a difference for those of us that started at Super Obese, or even Super, Super Obese, such as myself. (my original BMI was 64) Just wanted to introduce me. I look forwarded to getting to know you all.

Thanks Diana. Congrats on your weight loss! I cannot imagine being in a size 20. After 75 lbs total lost preop and post op, I am still in a size 30/32....but I can buy more fitted 30/32s. Nice meeting you also.

greetings kelli jo welcome to the 50+ board. i was hanging out on the jan 2005 surgery board, but so many of the regulars there are at or approaching their goals, that i was starting to not have a lot in common with them. i started with a bmi of 66, so even though my loss in the 6 mos. since surgery has been wonderful, i've still got a really long way to go. i appreciate this board with people who are, or have been, in a situation more similar to my own. it's great to meet you, and hope to see you around here often! deb -152

Hiya Kelli! I didn't come back to read boards last night after sending you the link... Hubby took me to see the Skeleton Key... WOW what a movie... all I can say is if you like OLD fashioned horror movies... this one is for you! Not a lot of "shoot em up" but wow the story is just one that will blow you away! I'm thrilled to have this board because we do have issues that don't seem to affect the lightweights (see post WOMEN ONLY) and although I love chatting with them... it helps to have those who understand my fears of getting surgery, losing a lot... but NOT getting out of the "morbidly obese" category... yanno?

Hi girl! Yes, I was so happy to have the link. That made it real easy. I heard Skeleton Key was good. Yes, you are right, we do have our own separate issues. And whereas a lot of people only have 100 lbs to lose, we are looking at 200+, and more sometimes. I did see that post. LOL, I have read some posts on the main board also. They say a lot of times you can negotiate w/ the doc who is doing your tummy tuck to include a lift there as well. It'll be a while before I get to that point. But negotiate I will do!
