Whats Your Dream?

Hy Patti. Men do seem to have an easier time with weight loss, don't they? Oh well, such is life. I weighed 15-20 lbs more than him when we got married, but he stayed the same whereas I packed it on. He still weighs in that ballpark. I many never be lower than him, but I sure would like to not feel like some huge oaf standing next to him.

Hi Willby: I have soooo many I couldn't possibly list them all. I guess to sum it up into one sentence. I WANT TO BE A NORMAL SIZE.................. I think then everything else in my life will fall into place. Just being able to "fit in" everywhere......planes, rides, cars, booths, movies.....the list can go on and on. I will admit to this I was at Goodwill about a month ago and I found a pair of Levi's shorts in a size 14 and I bought them for next summer. I am hoping that someday I can fit into them. I asked my hubby the other day are you going to have a problem when men start "looking" at me?????????? He said hell no!!!! I can't wait!!! I WANT them to look at you!!!! Dear Carmella, WAY TO GO.........that is a LOT of weight to lose!! Funny you should mention your husband and "looking". When I ask My husband about that he says ...that is a loaded question and i aint answering. LOL.because he knows i'll say "hmph!! you dont think they look now?" I dream of one day soon walking without my walker and driving. I dream getting off of disability and working a job that is just right for me. I dream of visiting the sick and shut-in offering help and encouragement when possible and I dream of shopping and decorating my house. Georgeann

I'm with you, Georgeann, Off disability and back to work! I had a 32 year career that I lost because of back and weight problems and I've really missed working. Who'da thunk it, right? And you always impress me with your hopes ... you have a heart of gold. Hang in there, Sister Georgie, and know you'll make it someday soon. We both will. Myra

Dear Sandra, i know exactly what you mean about those "family reunions". When i was little, the favorite pastime at those things was to make fun of the fat girl (me). well, now that i'm grown.I dont give them the chance..I just dont go. Willby, I have thought about this question off and on all day. I have many dreams but to bring it down to one I would say to wear the dress that I purchased to wear the night I met my husband in person 7 years ago (we met online and lived on opposite coasts). I bought a dress that I was "going to get into" before he arrived, yeah, right! It is a little black number that I would say is about a size 20. I got into it but I was like a sausage... and since then I gained ANOTHER 150 pounds! So, it is hanging in the closet, with the tags on it in the original bag from Nordstroms. So, I guess, my one dream that I came to after thinking about this today is that I will be able to wear that dress out with my husband. I have clothes that are anywhere from a size 3X to a 6X so I have a LONG ways to go but, I will wear that dress on a date with my husband! Patti

Well one of my dreams is to be able to go to the store to buy clothes and not have to go to the plus size section. My other dream is to be around to raise my 3 boys and to see them become the wonderful adults that I know they will be with children of their own. Maybe a sexy outfit for my husband once or twice.
