That's great!!! Congrats on the 49 pounds lost. I know what you mean about the shoes. I have been wearing the same raggedy pair with the bottoms floppin off for about three years. I can't get any that seem to fit me. I have tried a few pairs and I always end up giving them away because my feet are too swollen to fit into them. It stinks, but I am hopeful that things will change after I have the surgery. I can't wait. Take gentle care. Shelley C

Congrats!!! I am so happy for ya! I know how it feels to start losing. I don't think I lost that quickly ( I think 38 lbs),but its coming off. And 'Don't It Feel Good??!!??' I have went down a couple of shoe sizes my self and actually bought a pair of lace ups!! And yes, I can breathe also!! LOL This is really great!! Keep up the good work and have fun on your journey! Hi Shelley, Thank you for your post. I thought I was the only person who didn't wear tennis shoes that lace-up. I wore the same slip-on clog-type shoes for at least 2 years. I wore them with dresses, pants and even shorts. I just told my family and friends that I didn't like shoes, the fact is, I had several brand new pairs of expensive New Balance cross-trainers and walking shoes. I would try on a pair in the store and would be so winded that I would just buy them. My feet are so wide that they don't fit. I could probably "cram" them on, but then they hurt so bad and I'll have a hobbly walk. I finally went to a specialty shoe store and found a pair of sandals that have velcro so I can adjust if my feet swell-up. They were pretty expensive and are starting to wear down. I've got to keep these going till at least after my wls. Hopefully my feet will be better and I can wear my closet full of new shoes--and better yet, I'll be able to tie them up again....Yeah baby! Shelly you are doing awsome--thanks to all for your posts...it really helps me along. Virginia in Chandler,AZ
