Sleeping Question
Oh, I am right there with you! I had surgery on the 11th, too. I am dying to sleep on my side. Just to get the pressure of my tail bone, I have been kind of laying half on my side and half on my back. I was comfortable and didn't feel any pressure any where. My back is killing me, too. I really want to go to the chiropractor, but I think that may still be out of the quesiton. I don't know how she would adjust me without me being on my stomach.
I know it gets better each day, so I am hoping that soon I will be able to lay on my side for a length of time. My surgeon doesn't allow us to sleep in recliners, so I've been flat on my back for two weeks...
Hi Alice,
As you can see, I had my surgery 1 year before you, and I have to tell you, I couldnt sleep in bed for about 3 weeks. I had open though, and came home with a tube that wasnt removed for 2 weeks. I slept in my recliner. It is worth it though, believe me. I just found this board today, and I wish I had it when I was going through my recovery since I was such a high BMI. I will be on here now to encouage you all, just look at my pics on my profile, and you will see it is so, so worth it. Hang in there, you will be in bed before you know it. Good luck to you.
