I weighed 395 the day of surgery---but since I'm only 5'1" tall, that gave me a BMI of 75---quite a bit more than your 64. I'll gladly answer any questions you'd like to ask me, either about my personal experiences or about the form of WLS I chose (the DS) and why.

Sorry, I didn't 'figure' yours at all---I just clicked on your profile, where you have it listed as 64.9. The BMI calculator on my surgeon's website gives you a BMI of 71.6, also.

Hi Marlena: I began at 534 pounds, and I am 5'10" tall. I have lost 200 pounds and always love talking about it... Still have mucho to go, but what a ride! Many blessings! Tina

Well at my 1st pre-op appt I weighed 490, then due to reschedule I had another pre-op 3 weeks later and weighed 445. I have been retaining fluid so the weight loss is slow I believe I am at about 420 now, that isnt on the doctors scale. I am having a hard time getting protein and fluids down and also my vitamins. Feel free to email me via my profile.
