Newbie to board
Hey everyone,
I just found you guys today
. I wish I had you guys when I was going through my pre and post op problems. I would go to my support group meetings and hear testimonals of people that lost 140lbs, and started at 270lbs. I would think, gosh, I WISH I weighed 270lbs. I still dont, but at least I am not alone in my journey. Everyone of you that is pre-op, look at my picture in my profile, and see that it is by far the best thing I ever did. I had the confidence to go on job interviews, and got a great job, can actually work all day long. I can now cross my legs and fit in booths. It is so amazing. I look forward to all of you pre ops to join me on the losing side. After one year, I am finally just now DOWN to a 40+BMI
. I look forward to getting to know all of you. If I can help any of you on your journey, feel free to email me at [email protected]
Hugs,
Sue

hi sue:
i felt the same way and was really glad i found this place, too. i only started coming here a couple weeks ago and can already tell i'll be here often.
talking about fitting into a booth, talking about wishing you 'only' weight 270, regaining lost confidence, for those reasons and so many, many more, i'm glad we're all finding this board.
i know my journey will be much longer than the people on the state board i've been going to - i'm just under 50 bmi after having lost over 100 pounds - so i'm glad i can come here for the understanding of these miniscule, yet mentally gigantic issues. (don't think i said that right, hope you get what i mean).
have a great week, sue.
thanks for sharing
