OHLA! Sept 10 Protein Sampling!!

Well, you guys asked for it!! September's meeting is going to be about the change in protein needs for Weight Loss Surgery Patients! I have 3 types of protien supplements already planned for sampling. If anyone has a favorite they want to share, or container of something they didn't like and want to just donate, please let me know. What: OHLA! Protein Sampling When: September 10, 2005 Where: Kat's house, email for directions. Time: 1:30 pm sign in, meeting 2 pm - 4 pm. Water will be available. If you would like to bring something for snacks, please just let me know so I can make sure no one brings duplicate items.

sure do wish i could join you. can i be an honorary member? i've tried lots of different protein mixes but find the tastefree ANYWHEY to be best - in shakes, for breakfast. i also tried the matrix stuff but have a tough time getting past the 'predigested' part. makes me feel like a baby robin. IMHO have a great time. hugs dorthe

OOPS! i went to make my morning shake and found i had made two mistakes. the pre-digested (yuck) protein is IDS. i'm not saying it tastes bad - only that i can't get past the thought of it being pre-digested. i don't know what that means and i don't like it. secondly - the taste free protein which i have been using and do like is the ANY WHEY. i add it to my morning shake and get a jump start on my protein for the day. what's in my morning shake? it's an evolving process but this morning i put in 8 oz skim milk, one pkg ids protein-vanilla cinammon, (gotta use it up, you know), one scoop sf swiss miss, one shallow spoon of instant coffee, 1 1/2 tablespoons benefiber, and ice. SHAKE, SHAKE, SHAKE and i'm ready to sit down with my morning paper. or in this case, my computer. ok, this got really long, just wanted to post my corrections. have a good one. dorthe

"pre-digested" means it's a smaller protein molecule, easier for us who malabsorb... that's all Enjoy
