WALKING....WALKING....WALKING
Being 13 days post op....I am starting to understand all the necessary things it will take to get to my goal. The main one is exercise. At over 400 pounds, I could hardly walk 50 feet without huffing and puffing. Now 13 days post op I am walking almost 1/2 a mile a day. It really feels great to be able to be mobile again. I am having no problems with my water, protein, or my soft food diet. This is the greatest thing that has happened to me. I am working toward a mile a day and then more beyond that. For all considering WLS, it isn't a fast fix, just an avenue for us to become normal, but you must follow the program. I have a long way to go, but I WILL get there. I cannot thank everyone enough for all the support. You guys ROCK !
God Bless.....

hi michelle:
sounds like you're doing great. i know exactly what you mean, when i got my surgery i started out at 450 and moving was really hard. i struggled to get two minutes on the stationary bike. now i'm up to 15 minutes biking and i can walk through the grocery store quite well.
keep up the great job. the more you work out the more you lose, and during this first six months (your honeymoon period), it's easiest to lose and still learn your new patterns.
take care. hugs
