I am fairly new here too. I am so glad I made the decision to have the surgery. You for sure are not alone. We will be here for you every step of the way. I am down 140lbs and feel so much better. I can do all the things "normal" heavy people do now, and I fit everywhere again.
Good luck on your journey. And for you Willby.....I just got rid of my son 2 months ago. He is 25 and just moved out
He is 6'2" and acts like he is 16 with lots of attitude too. So, I am not going to take dibs on your son...but, soon he will be on his own and you will be in my shoes enjoying your new freedom (and a new body too

I have been reading up on WLS for around 1 1/2 yrs. I am also 45...just turned it in July! My BMI is 74.7 and I weigh 435. I also am very thankful for this board! We can walk this journey together!

Hi Cindy!!! So excited for you... Man I wish I was having my surgery that soon... Trying to get the ball rolling now so can catch up with ya soon maybe..
..I first was gonna do it two years ago and read all the memorials and that was the end of that for me. I wasn't mentally ready for it. Weight wise YES.. Have even gained more weight after the chickening out time. Oh well, there's reasons for everything. I have two grandbabies that are spoiled rotten and think there "nana" walks on water in there eyes and thats reason enough for me. I want to be around for the long haul.. I LOVE the message board.. People from EVERYWHERE... touch base and let me know whats going on with your journey.. hugs margaret..
