Another information class

I am going to another information class on Sept 19. The first one required a BMI of not over 53 and mine over that. This one doesn't require that. They have my information. The problem that I am having is that I haven't been to the doctor every 6 months for wt mangement but they said that I can be having all my appointments while we go through the process. I do have all the weight problems and comorbiles (sleep apena, hypertension,etc) So here I go . Hope that when the time comes I get approved. Betty

Betty, I hope when your time comes you get approved too. after all of the things we have to go through to get this surgery............i sure hope its worth it. But after hearing everyone on this site talk......its worth it and then some! I also went to a 4 hour class only to find out that the surgeon i had didnt require it. Oh well..........we do what we have to do. take care willby

Betty, Welcome to the over 50 BMI group. If you are just starting this approval process, please don't forget to document everything. Document things that they didn't even ask you to do. I got everything done...submitted the paperwork throught my surgeon...waited a month just to find out that they required a 6 month med. supervised diet--one that was NOT required on my criteria sheet for my insurance co. Wish I would had known that...I could had been on the loosing side by now. Am I bitter??..well, alittle bit but what can a gal do-- right??? Keep in touch-- Virginia
