will I look like my face is in a wind machine???

I am having open RNY 9/19. Have heard some wierd stuff like looking haggard. Gees, one of the only fat benis there are is the ability to NOT look like you have been sucked thru a wind tunnel.

Haggard? No. Keep your water intake up and I think your face will be fine. I have lost 208 so far and there is a drastic change in my face and neck. I even got my long hair cut short now that I have a neck, lol. I think I look my age, but that is alright! Smiling will keep your cheeks plump too! ( so far, it works for me) Tina

Deb, Good Luck on your upcoming WLS!! i know i will probably make a few enemies by saying this (come on guys....its just me willby) I can almost always tell when someone has had WLS. They have a look like theyre melting. Dont misunderstand.......i would trade the melting look for the "its a bird, its a plane.no its the Goodyear Blimp" look. Its just a personal observation..........cant wait to be a "melter" take care willby

Deb, I'm going to be honest :D I have 2 friends who had WLS and about 4 acquaintences who have had it.. one out of the 6 has a somewhat sunken in look but not too bad ya know?? Check out some of the before and after pics.. It'll give you a good idea, and I'd much rather lose the weight and be healthy than not lose the weight and keep some chub in my cheeks... ((hugs))
