WHAT ABOUT THE BOOBIES?
I am so interested in knowing from some of the weight losers if you lose some of the boobies? JEEZ! Mine are 52DD. I have had HUGE boobs for years and the bigger I get the BIGGER they get. So, it would only make since to get smaller right? I have a identical twin that lost like 150lbs or more and she still has the dd's. I would like to be able to wear clothes that I dont have to still worry that they are gonna POP the buttons off as I have always had to worry about. Never, do I wear anything button up.I sure do hope they LEAVE LAS VEGAS

Maragret,
I am pre-op, so cant advise in the boob department. Just thought I'd share a little trick with you that I saw in the nursing home where i used to work. There was this little old 88 year old woman who had a R-E-A-L saggy bosom. Instead of wearing a bra.........she would just tuck them into the waistband of her pants!!! This is a TRUE story
Take care

RIP my girls.
I was a 56 ddd. Now they do in fact slide into my pants waistband if I don't scoop them up and put them in a bra cup. I can wear a 46 or 48 b or c now. Sad. I miss them in a way(weigh). Tis okay, goes with the loss.
My only complaint is the sagginess under my arms, causes the bra bands to roll. I HATE THAT!

Okay girls, I'm gonna confess...I think God played a cruel joke on me because I weigh a little over 300 (now I havent' been weighed in a few months and I was 293 then)..anyway, I stand 5'4 and can BARELY wear a B cup. If they made HUGE back sizes in A cup I'd be set!! My own mother said.."Jamie you look like you didn't develop all the way"
I've already asked my husband for a boobie lift and possible implants. However, if they stand up after surgery that would be a relief. Hate to get too involved here but my poor nipples spend their time sitting on my roll and tucked under. My best friend equates them to ice cream cones...
Margaret,
Hello bra-size-twin! (well, that's what my former size was ... who KNOWS what is is right now!
)
It's funny what we'll post here isn't it ... I always feel as if I'm talking to my own little group of friends
I forget it's actually the world that can see these posts.
So what the hay ... here I go. I was the same size as you ... as I'm losing weight my chest size is changing, of course, but my cup size is diminishing as well. That's not to say the "girls" are shrinking nicely upward ... on the contrary, they're flattening out and heading for my waistband. When this is over I'd be surprised if they'd pop any button off.
I've already decided I won't opt for implants, but I will try (after the reaaaaaally necessary things are done first ... meaning tummy and legs) for a reduction/lift. The plastic surgeon that visited our support group didn't recommend implants after WLS.
He recommended reduction with re-anchoring (eliminating excess tissue, raising what's to be kept back into place, "anchoring" it by sutures to the chest wall that would eventually dissolve, and closing a smaller "skin bra" ... I'm not joking he actually said that! ... around it). It was pretty interesting to see how they did the procedure ... it looked sensible, if you get my drift. And given all the controversy about implants, I'd rather use my own body tissue anyday and lord knows, there's going to be plenty of it to work with.
Course, if my insurance won't cover these things, I guess there's always duct tape, right?
Myra
