Hubby "had my back"!
Can I brag on my DH a little? Pleeeeasse? Thank You! After church this morning, we, and the kids, went in town to eat at a restaurant. Being in a small town, there were many people there that we knew. When we got up to leave, my precious DH, like the gentleman that he is, stepped back and allowed me to get in front of him so that he would then follow me. I knew what and why he was doing it. Not just because it was the gentlemanly thing to do, but he knew I wouldn't want all these people to stare at me as I walked out and he would be blocking their view (or most of it). When we got to the van, I thanked him, and he said "I had your back". I love this man the Good Lord gave me! He will willingly ask if I would like my feet soaked, he brings in the pans of water and afterwards he paints my toenails! Daily, he has to put my compression stockings on me and never complains! I look forward to being able to do things for him again once I'm able to get around. I thank God daily for him. We have so much to be thankful for with whomever the Good Lord gives us as our support system, whether it is a husband, wife, child, friend, parent, SMO sister/brother...Thank God for the precious people in our lives, like each of YOU!
Thanks for allowing me to share! Love you guys!

I just read your profile and signed your surgery page. I hope everything goes quickly and smoothly for you in this planning stage of your WLS journey. Your family sounds wonderful and as though they are, yet, another blessing!

You have a wonderful blessing and I'm sure you will be able to "repay" him once you are able and he will appreciate it as much as you do now. Have a great day!

Cynthia,
That was so sweet of your husband; sounds like you have a good man. It seems that so many people have husbands and children on this board, which is very nice - especially if they are supportive and caring. While I am not completely alone in my journey (I have my parents, a brother and niece, and good freinds who support me), it does make me a little sad that I have not found a good man for myself
. I would also like to have at least one child, but I fear that I am getting too old and won't find someone "in time"... if ever. I try to remain positive, but it's tough sometimes because I've always thought that I just wasn't good enough because of my size. Hopefully, in time, as my size changes, so will my attitude
.
Take Care,
Tanja
Tanja, I'm gonna believe right along with you that your husband is out there waiting for you, it just hasn't been time yet...you're paths will cross! Don't let yourself think you're getting too old...that's simply not true...ask the tens of thousands of women who have children later in life and love it! I just read your profile..you are doing fantastic! Good for you!!!
You'll be in my prayers for wonderful blessings to be upon you!
