Displaced due to Katrina.

Hi Ya'll! I haven't been on as I am from Slidell LA and am displaced due to the hurricane. I am in AR right now, and the people here have been great. A church took in my kids and I. I have heard there is electricity at my house, but the phones are not working correctly, no cable. I have to borrow a computer here and there and usually am using the time to find a job. As my job was in New Orleans/Metairie. Right on the border. I am praying that things get back to normal. Just wanted to let everyone know why I haven't been here. Registered Nurse Kat is also displaced. She is safe, I heard in Texas. As for my weight loss, after a week here I had lost 12 lbs according to the health units scale. Otherwise I am not sure, and am trying to get back on track w/ my protein, as I really have not been eating. Take care, and God bless.

Hiya Hon! I'm outside Baton Rouge for now... the beautiful park I used to live in... turned nightmare... every tree has fallen and every house is damaged... they are rentals, so I am homeless at this point... we shall see what comes of the FEMA help and the healthcare benefits at my job... I may be travelling to another job instead of continuing to commute and live in hospital (in New Orleans) while working... But everything remains "up in the air" pending Ochsner's resolution to our lost network of providers. Kat
