Well I have been using the gold bond powder for a while but this time it is not working I was thinking it might be something else but I was not to sure. I never thought it might be a yeast type thing. I have some anti-bacterial soap I will try tonight when I shower. Thanks all!!

Jeremy, I get the "yeast" infections under my breast too. What works best for me is atheletes foot spray powder, like Tinactin. It is the same. Lori 384/301.5/170

Hi Jeremy I can only share with you what has worked for me. I just use my Secret Deoderant stick that I use under my arms... I apply this under my breasts and apron also. (I have even applied it behind my knees and in any other crease that may need it.) I have been very blessed to not have had any rashes or 'weeping'. If you have opened areas, be careful what you apply until it's healed. God bless you!

Hi Jeremy! I use vagisil powder in both areas. I weigh over 400 lbs and this summer i have not had to deal with the chafing and burning, etc. WOO HOO! Take care.

Hey Jeremy! I use Gold Bond and it works wonderful. Everytime I take a shower I put it under my "girls" and it works amazingly; in fact once I loose weight the stock of GB will probably go down, I buy it all the time! Anywho- before you apply it make sure the skin is dry. Sometimes I'll tuck my towel (when I get outta the shower) under my chest and leave it for a minute then remove it and apply the powder. Maybe you could try that if you haven't? Best of luck, hun. Dannielle

I agree with all the other posts. Gold Bond works best for me. I use it under my breasts, under my tummy (apron), and behind my knees. I don't use the regular strength yellow and red bottle though, I buy the extra strength green and red bottle. Also, my doctor told me that it was yeast and prescribed a cream for that, but it made it worse for me. I think because since it was a cream, that meant more dampness there. Finally, I definitely ALWAYS use antibacterial soap. I would like to use something easier on my skin because it stays dry, but if I don't use antibacterial soap, that rash gets out of control fast. Good luck and take care. ~Ellen

Jeremy, OH YES.. .I am sure most of us have the blessed rashes. It has been a battle that I have fought for years now. I have tried the yeast infection creams and was actually on daily doses of the pill for yeast infections ****il I found out it is very hard on your liver). I use my blow dryer on all the susceptible areas after I shower each morning. For the areas that are broke out I use triple antibiotic ointment (Neosporin)... I buy the Wal-Mart brand that comes two tubes to a package and go thru LOTS of it. I have tried Gold Bond and didn't get good results. I have tried Massengil powder and didn't get any results. Now comes the gross part... yes it is likely yeast and what my doctor told me was that the yeast really doesn't do much to bother people but it is the bacteria that eats that yeast that really gets the skin inflamed (and that is where the smell comes from if you ever had a problem with that). So, use the antibiotic soap and the ointment and it will battle the bacteria. For the yeast, when I have had it the worst I have also put hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle and sprayed the areas down really well and then washed it. Yeast is anaerobic meaning that they can't live in areas where oxygen is high... thus why they love to live in the dark moist folds of our skin... so, by putting hydrogen peroxide on it, it hyper-oxygenates the area and boom.. they are dead!!!!! Just a plus... yogurt helps too and post-op you will probably eat LOTS of that LOL!!!! Good luck! Patti

This is not gross . I had this problem once and it was a painful time. It even made me depressed. My dr. precribed Difulcan for the yeast . One pill but I had to take two . One for one day and one the next day. It is a miracle drug. It cleared up. Gold bond was too strong for me. I had to use baby gold bond. Everytime I am precribed an antibiotic, I get my dr. write a script for two difucan pills. scrit must say " one pill a day for two days" for insurance to pay as one copay. Also a good bra. , don't be cheap, go get measured and buy a good comfortable proper size bra. No bleach on my bras either. My favorite is a warm oatmeal bath with my favorite cd playing. Once I was healed ,I do put deodorant under each breast, in between thighs, and upper split of the buttocks and a some on on my navel.
