PCP Abducted by Aliens *gasp*

*cue eerie background music and creepy tall skinny guy with unnaturally deep voice* "Tonight I tell you a story, a very odd and scary story. OOOoOOoooo" OK, well not so scary but really freakin' frustrating. My PCP left! Poof gone. No notice to his patients. I had to read about it in the newspaper. He moved to NYC and is no longer practicing medicine. So guess what kind of chance I have of getting some sort of letter from him for the insurance company. If you guessed "slim"... you are WRONG. Oh so sorry, thanks for playing the game but the correct answer lies somewhere in the puddle left from that snowball that just melted in Satan's sauna. What a butt! So tomorrow I get to go pick up the BOX of my records they're compiling for me and I'll be sifting through it myself to find the weightloss history our insurance companies just have panty fits over. Boy, that's a real bummer! Was he from Logansport? I'm also from Indiana...Northeast of Fort Wayne. Surely they are refering patients to someone else taking over his practice, uh? I'll say a prayer for you Brandy, and yes, you have a really nice picture!! God bless!

Hey there fellow Hoosier, Yea, he was from Logansport. Dr. Abbasi. I didn't like him so much anyway. I have asthma. Asthma, obviously, is treatable but not cureable. Every doc I've had before Dr. Abbasi knew this and knew that no matter how many times I came in for a visit, I wouldn't magically be cured of it on the next visit. So all I had to do was call the office and they'd phone in a new prescription for me. Noooo, not this guy. I had to go in each and every time. And he'd only give me a months worth. Looks like I was helping fund is sudden and early retirement. Where did you have your surgery done... or are you preop.. hmmm... me thinks I should read your profile.

Why that little stinker! That's really horrible. If I really said what I wanted, I'd probably go to jail! I have 1.5 years of monthly diet documentation from a former pcp somewhere, but he went *poof* too. Nice pic though! Huggs, Ruth

Hi Brandy, I had that happen to me a couple of years ago. It really ticked me off. No notice, no information, no nothing. Geee doesn't it make you wonder if they really care about the people that they are helping and taking care of with illnesses. It steams my clams when they do crap like that. Hang in there! Is there someone else in the practice that you can see??? Monica F.
