So Sick of my clothes!
Hi everybody!
I would like to thank whoever invented the elastic-strechy jeans type pants.
You know how us big guys and gals's legs rub together when we walk? Well, if you are like me...the material eventually gets so thin that it wears down and rips (or am I the only one??) Anyway, I'm pretty handy with the ol' sewing machine so I am constantly patching them up till it gets pointless. I now have 2 pair of elastic jeans left. I have tons of shirts that really look worn-out. I am so close to turning in my paperwork..(my last Dr. supervised visit is October 3rd) I refuse to buy new clothes!! My question is this...If it is true that most of the country is obese...why can't anyone come up with stylish clothing that is affordable and flattering..but long enough to cover a big tummy/ and or big butt? Just wondering. Can't wait till the insides of my jeans don't get holes in them!! Sorry I am done with my venting.:=@

Thats funny that you just brought that up about clothes. I had just told my husband that I need clothes so so bad. I have ONE black skirt that I wear with different shirts( if can find long enough). I am trying not to go out and pay the OBESE size prices for clothes right now. I have smaller sizes but.......... aint enough pam around to spray them onto me.
So I try not to look trashy and worn out looking with old clothes. I have always been a earthtone color person. Love black and brown.. guess I always tryed to stay away from colors because would look like a walking skittle coming down the road...I dont sew at all so thats out. I think the person that invented jogging pants were bigguns for sure. But, praise the lord for them lol...hugs Margaret..
Hi Margaret and everyone!
Yes, I love the jogging pants..it's the best part of my "fall/winter" collection. I wore a pair of purple shorts and grabbed a purple t-shirt and put it on. I was always told that solid colors--especially BLACK makes one appear slimmer. Well, let me tell ya...I took one look in the mirror and I swore I saw a gigantic purple grape!!!
Hugs & Laughs..Virginia
Hi Ruth,
Yes, I can't wait to wear non-elastic jeans!! I don't wear shorts cause of my ugly white legs!!
I have a few pair of shorts that I wear around the house..but if I go anywhere..I run in my room and change into long pants..kinda hard in Sunny Arizona not being caught dead in shorts!! Oh, to lay -out in the sun and not having to cover-up so much.

Hey Virginia,
You just go right ahead and vent ... I know exactly what you are talking about. When I did wear pants the inside seam was the first to go and I learned to salvage my pants by patch repair. Just wait ... after surgery you are going to have to get rid of perfectly good clothes because they will not fit anymore and the soga continues. Be encourages though it won't be long now.

Hi Georgeann,
I guess you are right..I just realized Friday that in the first week of October I can resubmit my paperwork. My first attempt was put on hold due to not enough diet documentation. It wasn't "denied" so for that I am greatful. I just have this last visit of the 6 month thing. My surgeon's office case person told me that it would take up to 48 hours after the submission of my 6 month diet record and new letter from my MD. I'm just afraid that they will want something more from me,and I have nothing more to give. As my mom used to say,"You can't squeeze blood out of a turnip" That phrase took me years to understand..but I understand it now...I live it now. What a "downer" post. Have you all been there done that or am I just
Thanks--Virginia
Hi Virginia!
Oh I totally understand what you mean. I refuse to buy any more clothes as well. The only thing I am thinking in my mind is I think I might get to the point that I may look like homeless person. ha ha ha.
I can tell you that for me - I am soooooooooooooooo sick of always having to shop at places like the layne bryant catalog online because stores just don't have my clothes.
Oh well that is all going to change....
Praying for soon!
Monica F.
