I can not believe this...........................

I am scheduled to have my surgery this friday. Last wek I had to take a repeat chest x-ray. There was some shadowing there, that they wanted to recheck and make sure it was just the way I was positioned . The surgeon is requesting a clearance from my PCP. So, I called my doctors ofice to get this done since my second x-ray comes back with the result of being normal. Since I work in the radiology departmenr, I sent the report as soon as the doctor was done reading it. The doctors medical assistant called me to let me know that it was recieved. She then told me that she would send the letter to me the following day. Well............I t has been a few days and then this morning the medical assistant calls me to say that the docotor does not want to do the letter, unless I have a pre-op physical. Mind you I had a complete physical this year already. I am so angry right now. Especially since I was just at her office doing the last of my pre-op stuff not even two weeks ago.Sorry for venting guys I just had to get this out. Kwheen

Your so close now.. can they do a physical ASAP?? I know you're mad and you have every right to be since they are jerking you around. If they can get it done right away then just jump thru this last hoop and you'll have the last laugh when you're on the losing side!!!!

Hi Kween, Sorry you are going through this but get ahold of the PCP ASAP and see if they can fit you in immediately to get your physical. Soon you'll be on the losing side and not jumping through their hoops. Take care, Anita

kween honey i have the same trouble with my pcp he just didn't want to write that letter for free he wanted to charge you a office visit for that letter thats why he did it!

Grrrr sometimes these doctors can make us I hope you can get into your doctor's office today and get a quick physical!!! Like the other ladies said, you'll soon be through jumping through the hoops and can put all this grrrrr behind you! I sure hope you get what you need today. I am having a little drama with my PCP also, he wants $350 to do my surgical clearance!!! I think he just doesn't want to write one - which shocks me since he's been so supportive of this surgery for me. We had the hurricane passing by yesterday so I haven't been able to call them, I hope to get that grrrrrrrr straightened out today!
