Hernia repair???

Hi everybody! Within the past 4 years, I have had 2 hernia repairs although I am clueless to how I was so "lucky" to have had them. They were fixed on an out-paitent basis done by lap..no big deal. Anyway, my question is, have any of you heard of hernias to be repaired "during" a Lap Gastric bypass? I am not in any kind of pain...but my belly feels a protrution like before. I asked my MD and he told me that he couldn't answer that question for me...and I really don't expect a medical opinion from you guys. I was just worrying that this could be a huge road-block for me (again) I have heard about hernia repair being done during a tummy tuck...but that is down the road for me for sure! Any posties out there who have been there--done that--bought the t-shirt would be greatly appreciated. Virginia

Hey Bridget (a little bird told me your REAL name) Thanks for the big((((HUG)))) and the howdy..Your know sometimes I get in this serious mode and 'loose" my true sarcastic self...now if I could only just "loose" the weight I'd be good to go!!! Did I forget to send my congrads on your approval and surgery date??? well, congradulations! Getting your approval is a big sign for the rest of us pre-oppys. I'm crossing my fingers and toes till Ruth, Monica, Margaret, Candy,Cynthia,Anita,Sipele and ?????? countless others get their surgery dates... oh yeah...me too!!!Maybe it will happen all around the same time and will totally run out of chairs :chairs::chairs::chairs::chairs::chairs: to hide under.
