Well I thought getting the fluids the other day would make me feel better but I was wrong. I ended up driving the 2 hours to my surgeon yesterday and ended up staying the night in the hospital for testing. Dehydration was only a small part of the problem. I have a small ulcer in my new pouch and also some erosion. Why noone seems to know. Alls I know is that Im on a ton of meds now and feeling horrible!! The nausea did not get better, it just got worse. Then came alot of pressure and burning in my pouch. I didnt waste any time getting to see my surgeon. I did catch it early enough that there isnt alot of damage and they promised that they could get it under control. I feel horrible still, but atleast I know why now! And Im still slightly dehydrated! Hang in there and pat yourself on the back for getting to the surgeon so quickly! You have probably saved yourself tons of other problems by nipping this in the bud.... Feel better soon...get some rest.

Amber, did you get anything for the nausea? I had similar problems a month out of surgery and ended up having a stricture with a small ulcer in my pouch. The anti-nausea really helped me cut down on the dry-heaves, so the liquid could stay down. Get better soon - I understand what you are going through!! Darla
