hi everyone, I am so discouraged/mad at myself/disgusted. I am supposed to be on a liquid diet until my surgery. I CANT DO IT!!!! i was ok yesterday for about 1/2 the day and then it was on............anything i could get my hands on was eaten. I'm so mad at myself. it reminds me of the 10,000 other times i would start a diet and then stop a diet and the flood of self-hatred that follows. Food is my master. and if i cant do it now..whats the use of getting the surgery? i just want to go to and hide. I know i have to shrink my fata@@ liver. but i cant do it. I just cant do it. willby ps sorry to ruin everyones good time with this post.....i'll be ok tomorrow.

Willby, Go get some of the Healthy Living, Guilt Free fudgesicles! They are the most wonderful thing I have ever tried. They are fat free, sugar free and don't taste it at all. I was not to excited till I tried them. I think thats the only thing that got me thru the liquid diet. Still felt like I was cheating eating those things but it helped me so much. Amy

Hey Willby, My eatting buddy, I know how you feel. You sit there like me and wonder in our over eatting chocolate head how we can do it. I have eat the hinges off the doors for years and no matter what I have tryed, I went right back to the old habits of why Im where Im at now. MY NAME IS MARGARET, I AM ADDICTED TO FOOD!!!! I totally know the feeling. I sit here eatting practically nothing of substance and have been the gym for the past two days and still feel like a angus heffer. I cant hardly get out of the bed today.....You do the VERY best you can and thats all we ask of you. I know the dr wants you to be on a liquid thingy but you can do It. If I can, I KNOW you can. I live here alone with my husband and am here all day long. I could start on one end of the fridge and work my way out but DONT. WHY? because I NEED this surgery to live. All the people on here are unreal people. They make me feel as good as it gets. They are behind us Willby pushing us to the finish line even if it is with a fork lift for me lol. We want you to start talking to us more and go to the chatroom at night. We miss ya.... Hugs Margaret

AWwww - Willby... I feel for you. I know exactly what you are going through. I can tell you that is the old feelings kicking up. And also the other thing that you are feeling is that last supper mode. I can tell you that you are not the only one that feels the way you do. It's like you are having a funeral for food you are morning that you willnot be able to eat those things ever again. Remember you will be able too in time - when you feel you are ready to be able to eat in moderation with those foods. I know you can do it! We are all here cheering you on!!! Do you have a therapist that you are talking to that can help you with this? If so call them. If you don't have one maybe you should look into getting one so you can work out these hidden feelings about food. I know Barix recommends to have two years a therapy with having the surgery. I know its hard, but hey if it was easy we would all look like super models instead of extra fluffy. Hope this helps, Monica F.

Dear, sweet Willby, I happen to believe that you CAN do this. Like Margaret said, we only expect you to try your very best; that's all anyone can do. Please don't hide in . Rise up and seize this moment for yourself... Take Care, Tanja

HI WILLBY I am praying for you,, I know that it is hard--but you have to do it.. Do it for yourself... Keep thinking about the goal--the finish.. The bible states that we should fight the good fight- fight to finish the race and in the end we will see the rainbow.. And remember that you are not alone--there are alot of your brothers and sisters who are fighting to stay in the race too.. i know that it will be hard for me too.. my bmi is 64..I have failed so many times before too.. I am in the beginning process of getting tests done and all the paper work for insur approval.. i am a high risk diabetic.. you stay strong-- SusieQ Smith from PA

((((((Willby)))))))) I can understnad what you are going through, but I believe you can do this if it is what you really want. This is the last time you have to be on a liquid diet and then you are on to surgery and can start a normal life. I realize there is certain ways we have to eat after surgery, but it is the adaptation to a new life NOT another diet. If I can help in any way just let me know Anita
