Candy,
Do you need something that gives you the values for individual ingredients or for entire dishes?
I think I have a calorie counter book somewhere. I will look for it tonight. If I'm not mistaken it gives the cal., fat gm, carbs., etc. for individual foods.
Also, I picked up a book at Barnes and Noble called "Eating Well After Weightloss Surgery." It has some really good recipes some for every phase. I'm an experienced cook, but the recipes look real easy. Some of the recipes are: Salmon w/creamy lime-dill, pina colada smoothie, cider-glazed pork chops, southwestern tomato soup, just to name a few. Each recipe comes with serving guidelines, depending on what procedure you had, ie lap-band vs rny, vs, bpd-ds and it even includes the the serving size should be; and it includes the nutritional make up of each serving. I paid $16.95 and know that I will use it every day.
It's important to me that I not get bored or feel deprived after I have surgery (not including 6 week healing period) I need lots of flavor and variety. For me I know that I won't be happy if I have to limit my choices to the same 3 or 4 dishes each week.
Just babbling now Candy, don't mind me.
Kim
Hi Kim!
I would be interested in a book like that. I found 2 books on the BN website with, "Eating Well After Weightloss Surgery" in the title. Is the book you mentioned one of these?
1. Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery (paperback)
By Patt Levine, Michele Bontmpo-Saray, Michele Bontempo-Saray
OR
2. Before and After: Living and Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery (hard back) By Susan Maria Leach
Can you please let me know. I would appreciate it
Huggs,
Ruth

Hi Candy,
Sorry I missed your offer to chat, but I waited for a LONG time for someone and nobody wanted too!!!
Anyway, to your question, just check out Fitday.com you can track your cal/pro****er/vit./ EVERYTHING daily. Its awsome and it's free.
You just enter the product name that you want to consume and it will tell you everything you need to know about that item.
Hope this helps and I hope your feeling better. Seems you stirred up a hornets nest earlier this morining!!!!

Go to WWW.atkins.com click calorie counter you can download it or print it right out its have total protein calories everything you need to know about that food and it list every food you can think of its like 10 pages long.
I've had a book for years that has all kind of food counts. It's called the Complete Book of Food Counts by Corrine T. Netzer. Amazon.com has the newest version.
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0440241235/qid=1128221812/sr=2-1/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_1/002-6167125-7568046?v=glance&s=books
I'm sure you can also get it at Borders or Barnes & Noble. I got mine way before Amazon was around!
Good Luck,
Steff
