Hey everyone! I had my first consultation last wed. with dr. williams and it went awesome! I got accepted into the program! I met with a nutritionist which was good too! the doctor answered all of my questions! Now, i'm just waiting for all of my paper work to go thru the insurance company for approval which i don't see to be a problem! I was curious if there were things that i should start purcasing such as a good blender for my food or whatever. any help is greatly appreciated! ;o)

Hi melissa, Congratulations on being accepted into the program. i am pre-op, myself, but someone gave me a good suggestion. She told me to buy a baby spoon for after surgery. that way, you will remember to take little bites. Hope everything goes smoothly for you!! take care willby

Hi Melissa Congratulations on getting accepted and I'm sure approval is soon to follow I've been told to have lots of broth, SF jello, decaf tea, and SF popsicles on hand for the first couple of post op weeks. Also don't forget liquid tylenol. Take care, Anita

A lot of people prefer the Magic Bullet. I think you can get it at Walgreens and Walmart, but it is pretty expensive. I don't like my shakes blended, so I just stir them, or you can get a shaker. There are plenty of protein shakes you can get. You may want to just get some samples to start, as everyone's taste is different. Vitamin Shoppe will also allow you to purchase stuff and if you don't like how it tastes, you can exchange it for anything else. Good luck.

Melissa, I recommend buying a good blender, because, if your program is like the one I was on, I was on a full liquid diet for 3 weeks, then a soft/pureed food diet for 6 weeks. I used the heck out of my blender! Good luck! Lori 384/294/170

i stocked up on sf jello, broth, sf popsicles, crystal lite. i kind of depends on what your dr tells you you'll need to do, but IMHO, don't by the pureed baby food. it is so not worth the money!!! good luck dorthe
