ok i understand that this isnt a big deal but for me it is..... i gained 2 pounds. i had my surgery on jan 5 this year and was doing so well but i weighed this week and it went up so i weighed again today and its still here. i have to quit this...i am sabatoging myself. well thanks for the whine. diane in minnesota.

Whine away Diane that's what this place is for. If you say its a big deal then it is. Don't try to deny your feelings. That is one of the reasons I am my size. You must stop sabatoging yourself RIGHT NOW! If you don't be good to yourself who will be. Forgive yourself for the 2 lb. gain and get back with it. Also don't keep weighing yourself. That will discourage you. There could be several reasons why you gained and are not under your control, i.e. that time of the month. Relax and don't be so hard on yourself. ~Cindy~

thanks cindy i only weigh 1 time a week but when i saw i gained i decided to weigh again today since im in a dress and was in jeans on monday. same weight. that scared me. i dont count calories but eat health or so i thought. pistachios are my favorite and has protien but maybe they have more calories than protien so im trying to quit those. they were what i was eating at my desk since this is the place i feel most hungry. popcorn is my other food at my desk. well back on the saddle and try a different path thanks for the dust off and help back up. diane m

Diane, It is probably time for you to start recording what you are eating. I use fitday.com. You can keep track of all your food intake, exercise and measurements. I prefer the version you download for home use. It has more features. Pistachios and popcorn are not bad, you just need to be aware of the amount you are eating. When I eat pistachios, I limit myself to 30. I actually count them out and put the rest away from me. It helps. Good luck! Lori 384/293/170

hi diane: would you like some cheese with that whine??? just kidding. i believe, big time, in our bodies retaining fluids during that time of the month. it's gotten so i won't even weight myself the week beforehand. i'll be really, really glad when the hysterectomy is over and done with. then the yoyo effect MAY be gone. take care of yourself, diane. don't be so hard on you. hugs dorthe
