I could use some good news
Hi fellow SMOers,
How can I be a PITA (pain in the.....you get the idea) if nobody returns my phone calls. The Insurance gal at my surgeon's office has several of my messages and The Insurance case worker at BCBS has several of my messages. What is the problem here. I was told that I would hear no longer than 48 hrs after my diet documentation and paperwork was submitted. Everything was sent on Monday, Oct 3rd and I'm no math genious (or speller!) but I've done served my 48 hrs. I guess I'm gonna have to go another week-end being a depressed SMO as opposed to a SMO with a good dose of HOPE for the future. As you can see, I'm not in the party mood today. You guys have fun for me O.K. Thanks for letting me vent. Have a great day!

Hi ya Willby,
Thanks for your offer of a surgery date....I would never want to take that away from you girlfriend!! You deserve it. You are soooo right. This phone of mine has never left my side....what did they do before they had cordless phones..call waiting..and call forwarding???
Good Luck back at ya sis!
Hugs,
Virginia
p.s. No
ing allowed...too messy!!
Virginia,
You keep a good dose of hope going no matter how long it takes them to return a call, or take your call. We live on hope! It took me 13 and 1/2 months to get surgery (from the day I made the first call for an application packet), a year's fighting with BCBS Alliance, and finally ditching them for other coverage. Next time you call just say you refuse to hang up until you talk with someone who will answer you. (Might not work, but it will surely get your adrenalyn up and make you feel better for having been assertive with them). Chin up, girlfriend, you'll get there ... "If God leads us to it, He'll get us through it!" ... just don't forget that, ok?
(((hugs)))
Myra
Awwww Myra,
Thanks for your words of encouragement. You really do know about the stress and uncertainty that I am going through right now. Unfortunately I told a few people about my surgery plans back in March. I figured the surgery would be all go from there. All my appointments and criteria went so smoothly. Now the people that I told are all gossiping and being nosey about when the surgery is going to take place. I purposely didn't want others to know about the pre-op 6 -month diet..I just am paranoid about situations where they would see me eat..then under their breath...."look what she is eating..isn't she on a diet?" I suppose that will happen after the surgery anyway, but I told everyone that I had "special classes" to take. I did have them..but that was only 2 evenings. Anyway...that situation of people bugging me adds to the stress that I put myself under in the first place. "Calgon...take me away!"
Hopefuly I will hear on Monday! Thanks for your loving care and kindness Myra..I really appreciate it.
Virginia
