I am home.....

I had my open RNY Oct 5th and so far everything is great. I came home yesterday. I am not in too much pain at all. Just one area on my right hurts. I think it my be the area where my liver is so I am hoping it is just pain from being moved around during surgery. I have had some gas, and still do. Once that passes I am sure all will be good. I am doing pretty good with my liquids. I have to keep reminding myself to drink since I am not hungry at all. I am looking forward to all of the changes to come. Cassy

Hi Cassy, I am so glad to hear that you are home and doing well. It's good that you are not in much pain especially after an open procedure. You must be a very good patient since you were able to come home in 4 days. As hard as it may be try super hard to get all of your liquids in so that you dont get dehydrated. Congratulations on being on the losing side and best wishes to you on your journey towards a new you. As soon as you're feeling up to it we'll have to have a in your honor. Kim
