New here, wanna join the family!

Hello everyone....you all seem so close I feel like I am intruding! My name is karyn, I live near Albany NY. I have not had surgery yet but I am getting very close. I have had some of my clearances and the rest are in the next few weeks....so i am really hoping to have a date by mid November. You all seem so friendly over here and I love all the 5 questions post! I was just wondering if I could join in all the fun you are having and if someone would mind filling me in on some of your slang and abbreviations! I cant wait to get to know you all and be a part of your family here. Karyn

Hi Karyn!!!!, WELCOME!!!!!!!!!! We are always glad to get some new blood around here! We are an emoticon-using bunch of people, I'll tell ya. There arent any rules around here either.........we are just like a bunch of inmates let loose to run the asylum. Dont let us scare you though Come back often and stay a while. you will not find a nicer bunch of people than the ones right here!!! willby

Hi Karen and welcome to the group. Believe it or not, I only joined a little more than a couple of weeks ago. Everyone here has made me feel so welcome and they are a lot of fun. As Willby said there are no rules and everyone here is so accepting I think you have found a home. Welcome to the family. Kim

hi karyn: welcome to the asylum. lots of the people on this site have an enormous attachment to emoticons ( LOL ) but once you get past them you find some really wonderful people. hope you come back often to join us. and very glad you found us and announced yourself. dorthe
