Thank You For Yesterday

Thank you all so much for the support yesterday. It made a world of difference. I called a friend of mine who works for this site, OH, and she helped me with trying to find a new surgeon. I decided to call my current doctor's office to just make sure before I started making new appointments all over the place. I had decided that if they couldn't make some kind of arrangements with me I would tell them then on the phone I couldn't have the proceedure with them. I talked to the woman who does the program fee and she said I could make payments on it till my surgery date just as long as it was paid before my surgery. She said the other woman must have not understood what I was asking about when she told me they didn't accept payments on this. I'm still going to have a rough time coming up with it but at least I will have a chance to now. I got my pre-op testing information in the mail yesterday so I guess I will just stretch the testing out as long as I can. Amy

Hi Amy, I too had to pay 1300.00 for my support group fee. My surgeon would not do my surgery until I paid for it. I have to say it is worth every cent. (Of course my luck, he now lowered it to 750.00) but, I did not have the money and had to borrow it from my Aunt. I was thinking though, do you have a credit card that you can use? If he doesnt take them can you get a cash advance and just pay it back each month. Or maybe a family member or friend can put it on thier cc for you and you just pay the bill each month. Dont know if this will hel*****t, it is just another suggestion. Please hang in there, you will find a way to get thru this somehow. Hugs, Soos

Amy, I'm glad for you. At least you dont have to start from square one. I agree with what susan says........could you possibly get a credit card? or loan from someone? If you are feeling discouraged...just let me know. I have 2 big beefy shoulders for you to lean on. take care willby "live and let live"
