I know this may sound strange but I am having a problem with my arm. It has been sore and it hurts (above my elbow) when I make a fist. This has been going on for a couple of weeks and I was thinking that maybe I had just pulled a muscle but last night I kept waking up (like 5 or 6 times) because the blasted thing was asleep! This is a new thing with me and I was wondering if any of you had experienced this or heard of this or know what is going on with me???

Have you ever been checked for carpal tunnel? I know that is in your wrist. I have carpal tunnel and when it is really bad, it can go all the way up my arm. May just be circulation, or a pinched nerve? I would inquire if it it were me. Huggs, Ruth

Hi Jamie, I can only give you my opinion and I am not a doctor by any stretch of the imagination. I also wake up through out the night because my arms and hands are asleep. I think for me it is a nerve problem in my neck and when I sleep my neck gets kinked and the nerves down to my fingers get numb. If you never had this before, maybe you should see your dr. But in my case it is the cervical area in my neck that is causing my problem. Hope this helps. Soos

Jamie, I, too have carpal tunnel. It was getting so bad that my hands fell asleep during the day.....no matter what I was doing. Sometimes I couldnt even hold a pen to write a check. I went to my docotr and she gave me a wrist splint to wear at night. it has helped immensely! My arm would go to sleep up to my elbow. You might want to look into this. Take care willby "live and let live"

Hi Jamie, I had tendonitis (sp?) in my elbow (aka) tennis elbow and experienced some of the same symptoms. I don't play tennis so I know that didn't cause it. Believe it or not alot of it had to do with the way I rest my elbow on the desk when I am on the computer. But it's best to have it checked out by your PCP if you can. Kim
