Hello Smores, I have a serious question. (I know, I know willby and serious DO NOT go in the same sentence) Does anyone else here suffer from depression especially in the fall/winter? For as long as I can remember, I get really depressed and scared when the sun starts to set in these months. I'm ok in the spring and summer. But after that.....about 4:00 or so I find myself getting really down and scared for some strange reason. I LOVE those 2 seasons.......and yet....I still find myself getting depressed. Anyone else have this seasonal depression thingy going on? If so, I would love the company willbydepressed soon

Willby, I love falling leaves, the smell of autumn, the cosy feeling of a nice warm house shutting out the damp and cold, but know that some people don't do well in the fall and winter. I used to work with a doctor who had the same issues you do ... he put "sunlight" bulbs in his lamps during these seasons, and said it went a long way to making him feel better. Don't know whether this really works or not, but why not try one in an overhead lamp and see? Myra

Hey Willby, Hey it is a serious question. For me it's not a conscious thing. My doc had to up my dosage of antidepressents last year for the winter. (that was pre-op, I'm hoping it won't be so bad this year) It is just horrible! They call it seasonal affective disorder. It's no fun! Steff

Fall/Winter wake me up. I come out of my summertime blues. I can't take the heat and Fall just get me up and buzzing. I REALLY miss my season changes!!

Willby, it's called seasonal affective disorder, and it's real, it's well documented, and it can be serious. I get it pretty bad, which is why I went back on antidepressants last week Best of luck. Kasey 365/215/195 (nonop)
