Hi Anthony, My surgeon put me on a liquid diet 6 weeks before surgery. (which is this monday) I was so hungry that I ditched the liquid diet and went on 1000 call low carb high protein. I lost 16 pounds(still cant believe that one). BUT....I had to sign a paper saying that if I gained any weight from the initial consultation with her.......my WLS would be canceled. I know its for "our" own good...........but I just dont think the docs are understanding how disheartening this whole thing is for us. I wish you GOOD LUCK on your journey. Take care willby thinsoon

Hey Anthony, Dont get discouraged at all. I have learned by being on this website talking to alot of different people that there are all sorts of stories. Mine is a stickler about you losing before surgery. They say there main concern is your liver of course. I was between 400-410 and they wanted me to lose 60 lbs. Thats all lol. And like it wasnt anything when they told me. I was like deer in head light looking. They even asked was I ok? LOL I can see losing what you can but come on say see ya in few months after 60lbs gone. JEEZ! I was devistated of corse but I got myself together after while and had smo buddies on here that wouldnt hear we whine anymore and put there foot down sorta speak. And my Angel Tanja was super supportive and still is an attribute to my weightloss today. I got started on slimfast and small snacks and light lowfat dinners like lean cuisine. I have as of this morn weigh 380. Cant wait to tell tanja and the gang!!! So yeah im heading back to ATL next month with a smile on my face dangit. Ready or not Im going.Just do the best you can and try not to get discouraged. My surgeon will NOT do the surgery if you gain at all or not try to lose.So hang in there and let us know whats going on with ya. Hugs Margaret
