New to Board...

Hi everyone! I thought I would introduce myself. I've been on the site for a couple of months, just haven't gotten involved on the boards. So, I thought it was time! I began to think about the surgery about 4 months ago, and I am just waiting for insurance. Well, actually I just heard I was approved, but they will only pay 7500 max. So, I am about to go through the appeal process. Fun, fun I'm excited to get to know you all - everyone seems so nice! Pam

Hi Pam, I am new here too. I have my first initial consultation Tuesday. After 1 and 1/2 years of researching, and fighting with my husbands self funded insurance policy, the money shows up! God is good isn't He? I am 52, and 410 pounds. I have sooooooo much to loose and more to gain. I am excited. I have been reading on these sites, but never got involved. Think it's about time I did.. Hopefully I will have a date set after Tuesday. Nice to meet you all!
