I think that part scares me more than anything..
Since I am self pay, I am hoping I don't have to go there.. I am a crier. I know no matter what he asks me I will cry. I am just so excited, and happy about getting this done and soon, that I am so emotional. Ups and downs for 1 and 1/2 years & then BAM...the money is put right in my hands almost. So I know its God. I cry when I am sad, angry, happy, nervous, etc..not only that I cry when people are that too!!...I am just a bawl bag. I am hoping the Psychologist doesn't see that as something I can't handle.. My nerves are really good.. I have searched and researched for a long time.. I know this is what I want and need. Any info on what kind of questions he will ask..?? Going for my consultation Tuesday...with Dr. Warnock.. will take it from there.. Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.
Elaine, there is nothing wrong with crying. It is an expression that you have found reflects your feelings, emotions, etc. and it is a normal response to tenderness in your soul - YOUR WAY TO COPE.
~*~ Focus on your excitment for the wls.
~*~ Don't offer more information than they ask of you.
~*~ If they do bring up topics that are tender to your soul... cry and grab a tissue!
Now Elaine, if you do think that your depressed you might want to discuss anti-depression medication with your primary care doctor. Everyone needs alittle help sometime..... and that is normal too.

Hi Elaine....
I agree with everybody else on here. Mine was really simple. I had to explain the procedure to her and then explain the way things would be after surgery.. I kept thinking "she must know this" of course she did but she had to be sure I knew.
Some of them give "tests" like to check your IQ... and fill out the dots and answer 90 million questions type thing like if you've ever applied for a big important job LOL
I don't see where they would hold it against you for crying.. it's just how some people are wired.
