I can't believe I'm actually asking it. What does "SMO" stand for? I know as soon as I get the answer, I'm gonna clunk myself in the head and do the duh thing. Please don't think that I am always this dense. Just call me temporarily Thanks! Brenda

Hey Brenda, You're not dense or SMO means "Super Morbidly Obese" We are a group with a BMI over 50 to start with. Many of us here started at a much higher BMI and they no longer are SMO...however they still come here to lend support to others here. You see, being a SMO person, we deal with allot more issues than someone who only has 75 to 100 pounds to loose. Idealy the goal would be...to leave the SMO status (physically) but many times than naught..we still end up with SMO issues in our head..in others words...I aint leaving..even when I get thinner..does that make sense? Have I totally confused you know? Help...this SMO gal just confused herself Virginia

Oh my gosh! I knew I'd have a DUH moment. I was WAY on the wrong track, I was thinking Sexy Momma O?, or Super Man O?...... I didn't even think of the obvious! Good Grief, I can't stop giggling at my own self. Well now I can honestly say: GOOD AFTERNOON ALL MY FELLOW SMO'S!!! Brenda

Brenda Dont feel silly. I am still pretty new to the board and didnt know what SMO was either. Well instead of asking like I should have. I did a search and found a SMO board but the SMO stood for Surrogate Mothers Online. I was really confused then. Anyhoo I finally asked and found out what it really stood for. So please dont feel silly. I did the same thing...lol Melissa

LOL! It's all good Brenda! Like Virginia said, even after the weight is gone, mentally we can still be SMO, or as some here call us SMOers... like the treat! We're all a lil bit here! Huggs, Ruth
