Hi Nanette, Congratulations on being on the losing side and also on your weight loss accomplishments to date. Every journey will take you down a path that some times has a few bumps in the road. Don't let those bumps prevent you from continuing your progress down that path. Take time to acknowledge your successess and don't beat yourself up for the slips. It is from the mistakes that we learn the most. Keep a food diary and try to identify what is going on with you inside and out when you find yourself eating something you hadn't planned to. Keep your head up and know that it will get better. Best Wishes and Welcome to the board, Kim

Hi Nanette!!! I met you at a support group meeting in Murphysboro once!! Congratulations on your succesful surgery and wonderful lose to date!! You are doing great in my opinion! I agree with the above posts in not beating yourself up. You know what you need to do and I have faith that you can do it We all hit bumps in the road through life, but you can over come this one. Do you go to the meetings in Murphysboro now or do you go to the one in Paducah?? I'm having my surgery November 9th through the CORI Centers. Feel free to email me if you like and come back and post often! Take care, Anita

Hi Nannette, I'm Dr. Argotte's patient too! I had my surgery in St. Louis, actually, but we're NOT gonna talk about THAT place! Dr. A adopted me into his program last April, fixed all that was wrong with me and I think he's great! If you go to the Support meetings at Lourdes, I'll probably see you there. Congrats! on your weight-loss so far ... just keep the faith and listen to Susan on your dietary needs. She knows her business. at ya from Missouri Myra

Welcome Nanette, I'm a newbie also! I had my surgery in April, so i'm not an expert but I will say you are doing EXCELLENT! So, you ate a few 2 many carbs, tomorrow is another day. The way I see it, you are on the right track, you are aware that you are eating the carbs and reached out for help. Good for you! Keep up the good work! Brenda
