Guess I have the "wander lust" going on right now ... here's some questions for Friday: 1. If you could spend one day back in history, when it might be? 2. If you could travel all expenses paid, but the stipulation was you had to visit another country ... which would you pick? 3. If you could be a famous person for one day, who would it be? 4. What languages can you speak? 5. What skill do you not have now that you've always wanted to learn? Myra

1. If you could spend one day back in history, when it might be? Let's see I LOVE history, so picking just one day is really hard. I would have liked to experience life in the 1800's though. 2. If you could travel all expenses paid, but the stipulation was you had to visit another country ... which would you pick? France I've always wanted to take a trip there. 3. If you could be a famous person for one day, who would it be? Rosie O' Donnell I think she is fabulous!! I love her down --to-- earth personality. 4. What languages can you speak? I took French in school but it left me years ago. 5. What skill do you not have now that you've always wanted to learn? I'm not sure this counts ..listening.

1) I'd like to go back to 1937 and spend a day at my great grandparents' farm. It'd be so amazing to know my grandmother as a teenager and to see my Aunt Jean while she was healthy (Jean was an Army nurse during WWII and went on to have a 20-year military career. She had to retire in her late 30s because she had MS). I'd love to meet my great grandparent. My great grandfather was an Oklahoma sooner. He moved back to Ohio and married my great grandmother. She was the valedictorian of her high school class, as well as a really good painter, quiltmaker and cook. She taught school before they married. My grandmother had an idyllic childhood and still called her father "Daddy" fifty years after his death. 2) I've always wanted to go to Virgin Gorda (which, in a bit of hilarious irony, translates to "fat virgin" because of the giant boulders they have at a beach called the Baths. They look like great, round bodies). It's in the British Virgin Islands. I love the Caribean. I've been to Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Jamaica (Jamaica is not the friendliest place on earth). I love swimming in general, and the Caribean is warm and still and clear. It's not like swimming in the Atlantic (which I've done on Cape Cod) or the Pacific (which I've done in Australia). I'd like to be able to really work a sarong when I go 3) We did sort of have this question before, and I said Brendan Shanahan (left wing, Detroit Red Wings). If I had to choose another, I think I'd go with Elizabeth Parkinson. She's a Tony-nominated dancer on Broadway. I'd love to be able to dance that way, to be onstage. She's famous, but in a limited way, so I could go to the beach without people crowding me. 4) I speak French (poorly) and English (fairly well). 5) I would like to take voice lessons. Also, to play an instrument other than the recorder, which is sort of limited. I'm thinking about taking piano lessons. Of course, when I'm a lot thinner, I'd like to learn how to skate so I can play a little pick up hockey, or join a women's rec league.

1. I think that I would go back to the 1940's I always wanted to be a housewife back then. I think it would be just perfect. 2. I would travel to Germany, I adore the country and the people there and its a big part of history itself. I think that it would be rocking to spend time someplace like that. Not to mention there is a good amount of castles there. I LOVE castles. 3. Hmmm I don't know that I would want to be anyone else. I suppose I'd want to be Drew Berrymore. 4. Just english, although I can say hurry up in 6 different languages. 5. I really want to learn to knit and sew. I'd also like to learn belly dancing.
