fun gogglbe gobble questions....
1. Let's see, in all my 39 years I have maybe done the day after thing twice. I just can't take the crowds...oh and I think to really get the good stuff you have to be there when the store opens and I HATE getting up early,
and if you're gonna get there mid-afternoon, you've missed some great selections, so why go at all? Kinda the why run when you can walk and why sit if you can lay down philosophy of life...
2.Last year, my hubby and I had folks over, this year he's having the operation...Nov. 5, so I don't think we're cooking for Thanksgiving, not sure if he will feel like going somewhere or just staying home and kickin' it.
3. I love the side dishes more than the turkey and the main side dressing/stuffing. I'm not really a bg fan of turkey, which brings us to the next question...
4. The tradition in my family (which I'm trying to bring my husband to a new enlightment
is to cook different foods, for instance last year we catered BBQ from a delicious place. It was fun and everyone ate great, and didn't have weeks to eat turkey left overs. The last time we had traditional turkey meal was about 5 years ago, and that was because my mother developed a serious craving for my mac and cheese and we broke the non-traditional chain :-0
5. Nope, I guess I'm really bad at this holiday thing
but I put up xmas decorations at that time and closer to X-mas I might put up a tree. Love looking at the christmas lights and deco at other folks places though...
thanks for the fun

VERY INTERESTING QUESTIONS
LOVE CANDY
1) DO YOU DO THE BIG SHOPPING THING THE DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING?
No... I did a few times when I was young and stupid... last time I was going to do it was about 5 years ago.. I got up at around 4:00 am and went and bought the paper to read the adds... mistake was I came home and turned the TV on and saw the lines around the malls... I promptly folded my paper and went back to bed!
2)SO YOU DO THE COOKING AT HOME OR GO AND SCARF OFF OF SOMEONE ELSE LOL?
We sometimes cook for ourselves, sometimes have people over, sometimes go out to eat... this year we are hoping that someone takes pitty on us and asks us over.
3)WHAT IS YOUR MAIN DISH YOU LOVE TO EAT AT THANKSGIVING?
I could eat my weight in stuffing... I make awesome stuffing that has about a billion calories and enough butter to grease a pig in it... guess we won't be having that any more!
4)ARE YOU BIG ON TRADITIONAL MEALS FOR THANKSGIVING OR COOK ANYTHING?
We do the traditional thing... however once when I was in college one of my friends invited me to her uncle's house.. we had BBQ'ed steaks... his wife is from Argentina and she says that the only protein they had growing up was poultry and she just CAN'T look at a bird and be thankful.. so she and her husband take turns picking what they have for Thanksgiving and the year I was with them we had steak. Different but it made me think about honestly being thankful for our food.
5) DO YOU PUT YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE UP RIGHT AFTER THANKSGIVING?
We usually put it up the day after Thanksgiving when all the nuts are out shopping!

2) We have to go to no less than 3 (that's right 3) places on Thanksgiving Day because my husband is a total sap and won't say no to anyone in his family who wants him to come over that day. We have to drag our 2year old twins from house to house to house all day long.
