It's only been about a month! Give yourself a break.. your body is getting used to this new life. You are probably losing inches and gaining muscle. Hang in there!! AND CONGRATS on your loss so far.. there's no way you would have dropped 30lbs this fast ever before!!!

You have lost over a pound a day on average. And it is typical to stall at three weeks out. Loris

Stephanie, I'm not positive but I have heard that a pound a day is the norm. In my opinion you are doing great. I know it's a struggle but it will be worth it in the long run. Keep up the good work sweetie!! ~Sherri~

Stephanie, Relax. You are doing great. Make sure you are trying to walk some every day. My weight loss felt "slow" at first. I was only eating about 500 calories a day and losing about 15 lbs a month. At about 8 weeks, I started having enough energy to do a 45 minute walk each day. After about 6 weeks of that, I met with a trainer and added 3 days a week of strength training. I'm now 5 months out and have lost 102 lbs! I'm thrilled! And I feel like a million! Even though I still have 112 lbs to get to my ultimate goal. I think the exercise component is so critical to get our fires burning because our bodies are so expert at storing fat! Lori 384/282/170

Stephanie, now I am just here thinking of the big picture.... I see you have made such good choices for a healthier future - you made it through the surgery! You have lost 33 pounds..WOW! You have changed the way you eat and you seem to be doing very well with it too! ALL OF THAT IN ONLY 33 DAYS!!!! I am so proud of you. But I also hear you are frustrated maybe you could "measure" your weight loss in other ways.... have you taken your measurements lately? any of your clothes feel looser than they did 2 weeks ago? My theory of what is going on with your wieightloss frustration.... ha ha ha and I am no doctor, just an old lady with silly theories! I picture thst your body might have lost alot of water weight the first 2 week of dieting, then the next two weeks you regained some of the water wieght your body needs and lost pounds.... but the scale forgot to tell you what was going on and you got used to seeing daily progress of weight loss. Just my silly theory, but sometimes I might make alittle sense. I am so proud of you! throwing you a big hugs and sprinkles of joy! ~*~ Pam

hi steph. YOU'RE LOSING ALMOST A POUND A DAY.!!! i think that's really, really good, girl. if it helps any, i seem to recall a plateau at about four weeks out. it's just your body adjusting itself. you'll begin to lose again, soon, just hang in there with your pouch rules and exercise and you'll be fine. again, you're doing wonderfully. take care dorthe
