Help!!! There is candy in the house!!!!!
Hi guys!
Guess what? I bought candy for the trick-or-treaters and only one kid came trick-or-treating to my house!!! Now, here I am..alone with a big ole bowl (witches coldron) full of Twix, kit-kats, and butter-fingers. Why oh why did I buy my favorites to give out this year????
To top that off....my son and his friends when trick-or-treating last night and he came back with a huge pillow-case full of B-a-d-s-t-u-f-f.
Oh, yes, he is 15....but he convinced us that this was his last year he would be trick-or-treating (as a 15 year old.) Today is his 16th birthday...guess he'll be able to "trick" me again next year

Bottom-line...they are here..and they are calling my name..don't want to go there..guess I gotta get used to being around the stuff I used to eat for breakfast..oh yeah...lunch and dinner too!

I definatly know where you are coming from. I did NOT buy candy to give out because we aren't home anyway we are out trick or treating!!!!
But between the 3 boys and last nights trick or treating and the school/daycare parties we've got enough to feed an army
To bad I'm an army of one and am being so strong to stay away from it
Well at least for the most part
Well have a great afternoon
Take care,
Anita
Oh Margaret,
Are you trying to help ME out...or are you trying to help YOU out???
Oh my gosh...have you seen the candy that is 1/2 off right now???
Oh my..sooo good and soooo cheap equals soooo bad. Margaret, be careful,
I think Tanja might just hop on her
and ride to get ya..but I won't tell anyone

Virginia,
My advice is to get rid of it. Your surgery is so close now, good time to try and break the sugar habit. My doctor made me lose 20 lbs just before surgery and had me do a clear liquid diet for 1 week before the surgery. It was a killer. Particularly, giving up the diet coke! I was such an addict. But, it was all worth it. Believe me. I feel great now. I've lost 102 lbs in 5 months. This Halloween candy has not called to me like it has in the past. I've eaten some sugar free when I feel like I just have to have something.
Good luck, Virginia! You are on your way to a new life!

Virginia, you said the candy bars are calling your name....
10 things you might try:
1. ear plugs
2. turn the tv or music up loud
(now a bit more serious....)
3. throw them in a covered garbage can
4. donate them to the food bank (tax deduction oh yea!)
5. step on them with dirty shoes and crush them into tiny dirty pieces
6. leave them outside to get rained on or eatten by wild animals
7. go on a walk and every child you meet, give them candy
8. if you can't throw them out, ask a neighbor to assist you
9. put them in envelopes and mail them to all your relatives
10. wrap them up with a big bow, put them out by the street, see who picks it up first.
If you need some more ideas... let me know.
~*~ Pam
