I have a date

November 28th This last week for me has been bad. I feel like every day is my last.... I feel like without the surgery I'll die and with the surgery it could happen too I'm so afraid to undergo surgery due to my weight. I have no heart problems or high blood pressure. I have sleep apnea, asthma and diabetes....

Congrats on your date!!! Don't worry so much everything will be wonderful. You have more risks not having the surgery than you do having it done. You are in my thoughts and prayers. ~Sherri~

HEY DIANE, I CAN ONLY AMAGINE HOW YOU FEEL. I KNOW ITS AN EMOTIONAL ROLLER COASTER FOR SURE. JUST LOOK AT IT LIKE THIS, WHAT WOULD YOUR LIFE EXPECTANCY BE WITHOUT IT? I KNOW MINE WOULD SURELY SUFFER DUE TO BEING SO HEAVY ALL THESE YEARS. AND I LOOK AT IT LIKE THIS. WHEN I DO GO INTO SURGERY I WILL KNOW THAT YES IM SCARED BUT THIS IS MY LAST RESORT TO HAVE A LIFE OUTSIDE OF OBESITY.SO HANG IN THERE AND GET ON HERE AND TALK TO OTHERS WHO HAVE BEEN THRU THIS ALREADY AND READ PROFILES. IT WILL MAKE YA KEEP FROM GOING CRAZY. HUGS MARGARET

Yay Congratulations on your date. I know exactly how you feel, because I was once in your shoes. Before surgery I always thought before I fell asleep that I might not wake up. I just physically felt awful. So I couldn't wait to have this surgery but then when the date got closer I was scared about dying on the surgery table. So there I was thinking I might die if I have surgery but yet I might die If I don't have surgery. Well I totally became at peace about the surgery and of course had a few jitters but pretty much at peace. So just know that you are in good hands and I will be thinking of you as your day comes closer. I too HAD sleep apnea but not nomore. You can do it! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!! This is awesome news!! Less than a month before you're an official loser!! OH and the scared part just means it's real and you've done your homework.... Honestly when someone says they're not scared I always wonder if they're lying or if they didn't do all the research!! OH and the fear thing passes with each sucessful surgery you see happening around you and every positive profile you browse thru... We've had a lot of recent post-ops around here and they are all doing GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pretty soon we'll be saying the same about YOU!!

Congratulations on your date! May God give you the peace and comfort of knowing He is with you and will be with you through it all. I am three weeks post op, and can only say I am very happy to be here. Everything went great, and I am sure you will feel the same once you are on the losing side. Love, Santina
