I promised myself (and the board) that this week I would do things right... I would get my protein, vitamins, water, and exercise in.. The past couple weeks have been horrible for me!! Well today Ive been on a great start.. I already have 51g of protein in!! I started the day with a protein shake and then moved on to crystal light with protein added.. So today I will get my 80g of protein!! I remembered the vitamins this morning!! Ive done a mile on the treadmill!! Im working on my water intake!! So Im keeping my promise!! Now if I can just find a shake that doenst make me gag!!! Amber

Great job Amber! Keep it up. You will feel the rewards! My favorite shake is one I make myself. I use 1 cup of plain nonfat yogurt, 1/4 frozen blueberries, 1/3 frozen banana, 1 scoop of Isopure no carb vanilla protein powder (I get if from GNC) 1 tablespoon of frozen oj concentrate and then I add some splenda. I blend it all up and get tons of protein and the super food of blueberries and it tastes great too! Lori

Have you tried fortified milk with suger free carnation instant breakfast? While I was doing my liquid diet (before my surgery was cancelled), I could not get those shakes down, and I tried many brands. So I called my Dr office and they told me to make fortified milk and add the carnation. You add 1and 1/3 cup dry powdered milk to 1 quart skim milk, chill very well . Measure 8 oz of the fortified milk mixture then add one serving size of carnation. (either one packet or 1/4 cup of carnation, depending on if you use the canister or evelopes) It is kinda sweet, but does not taste at all like a protein shake. And the best part, is 20 grams of protein for an 8 oz serving. Just my humble little idea..... Vee
