HI My weight needs to be 135 or less for my height to be considered a healthy weight. Right now I am doing this on my own because I am still pre-op and I set my goals small, and one at a time. My first was to lose 10%, and I did, I am now down 36 lbs. My second goal is to be in the 270's and I am 1 pound away!! My goal after that will be to get my BMI below 50, and I think that would be around 273....I find it much easier to be successful when reaching for smaller goals. Ultimately after WLS I hope to lose at least 100 pounds. I do not want to have Sleep Apnea anymore, so whatever it takes to lose that is what I need to lose.

Hi TT, My BS set a goal weight for me based on my height alone ... didn't carve it in stone for me, but was pretty much in the vicinity of what I'd imagined: 150 lbs. However, I'd be happy to be even 175-180 range. good question. Myra

Hi T! I guess my goal weight is 200 pounds (give or take a few). I dont get weighed every day and am trying to only get weighed at office visits. I figure whats the point of feeling bad if I havent lost? I cant change it. Well.........thats what i'm saying today.......catch me next week when I live on the scale Take care willby

TT I think like you 200 is a good goal weight for me too. Coming from 419 that would be wonderful Right now my little goal is under 300 Smile, nalani

T, I'm going for 170. That puts me at the very top of the healthy weight range for my height and age. I'm 44 and I'm 5 foot 9 inches. It is still 108 lbs away, but, I think I'm gonna do it! Lori 384/278/170
