she's back!!! PTL

hi everyone: i'm pleased and relieved to say i've come back to join all y'all on the boards. things went pretty well. they ended up doing the surgery as an 'open' rather than a laparascopic. and they couldn't just 'stitch up the rectocele' i had posted about. too much damage, apparently. so that will be yet another surgery for another time. right now i'm focusing on this one, though. the fibroid they removed was about as big around as a football. the uterus was attached by a bunch of scar tissue on the other side - thus the need for the bikini cut. right now i'm kinda appreciating the finer virtues of percocet, but am hoping to cut back on it soon. i've got a follow up with dr i on the 17th - hard to believe it's been nine months. that's about it for now, everybody. just wanted to let you know i'm back and doin ok. take care and have a wonderful weekend. hugs to all dorthe

Dorthe, yippy!!!!! So glad to hear that you are doing ok! the fibroid was huge... gosh! What a surprise that they did an open instead of tiny little holes. I offer you some advise since you had not planned on so many stitches: good idea not to laugh to hard... that is where the saying came... "I laughed so hard I pop my stitches out"... so no joke for right now. hugs, pam
