Do they really do this???

I too asked about this and was told that it is done if they cant get it in. He told me if I had problem they would wake me up some to put it in. I was blessed because I didn't have to be woke up. It is done though in some cases.

Thanks for the input, I have been really worried about this, but I guess I am just gonna go with the fact that I have had several surgeries before and have never been awake to be intubated. I just though maybe is was something they had to do to you while you were awake for this certain procedure, I'm glad to know that isn't so. Vee
