I was wondering if men have as much trouble with insurance companies and doctors when they go to have this surgery done? It seems like a lot of women have a lot of stuff to go threw to get this done and I dont see any men complaining...... Or do us women complain to much>>

Marie, I don't see any difference in the difficulty for males or females. If you look at the memorial page on this site. (Caution: it is very tough) you will see a few men on there who died because they were not approved for the surgery or not soon enough. Lori 384/278/170

Hi Marie If you get the "OH! I wish I hadnt looked at the Memorial Page jitters" just wanted to let you know..........I had them too. I was obsessed with it for a little while. But everyone on here helped me see that I had to put it into perspective. Good Luck! willby PS: I DO think we women complain a lot............but HOLY COW!!!!!!! look at all the things we have to complain about

I think a lot of men wait until they are so fat that the insurance companies have less to argue about. I did not have trouble getting insurance to cover. Besides I let my wife worry about health care problems.

Marie, My husband and I both had the same identical four-year battle to get approved. Our pre-op testing was also identical. Patti
