Where has my day gone? buying groceries, laundry, dogs, dishes, cooking supper, vacuuming, taking dogs for walk, leaves need rack ,and now its time for weekly card game. not enough time in the day for everything. I still need to fold the laundry, seperate meat I bought and put in smaller bags and I really shouldnt be on here, Need to gas the car for trip tomorrow. psych eval tomorrow that is a two hour drive. Thanksgiving is only a week away. and my kids are all grown. how am I going to have time for surgery. I dont see how you women with small kids get it done. am i the only one that seems like you never have time for self. bye marie

Marie, I do not have small children, but, I have to tell you that you will have to make time to take care of yourself in order to be successful at this and to heal well. Ask for help! (I know this is the toughest thing for most women-including me-to do!) Good luck Lori 384/274/170

hi marie: i did not even consider the mundane things like groceries, dogs, laundry, dishes. i knew that i needed the surgery FOR MY LIFE and to me everything else was secondary. please consider taking care of yourself FIRST so you will be able to care of your little ones afterwards. good luck dorthe

Marie I have three children 9,6, and a VERY active 3 yr old. EVEN though it drives me up the wall I have to let some things slide. My mother and grandmother are/were obsessive house cleaners and it passed right down to me and NOW they tell me when you get older those things aren't important anymore, so I'm trying to take their advice. You really do have to make time for yourself or you'll go nutty. It's been especially hard for me being so far away from my support system (family) since moving to Hawaii so I've gone through some really stressful times. Thankfully my grandmother is coming to take care of me after surgery and I know she will keep everyone here on the straight and narrow. I don't know if your a night person or a morning person but I like to stay up at night and watch TV Land and do things like fold laundry or clean bathrooms if I haven't had a chance to get to them. As for the dogs you could take them out after dinner and have a relaxing walk with your hubby? My best advice is don't fret over things not done because trust me when I say this it will drive you and it isn't worth it. Take care and relax.... HUGS, Jamie
