Just 2 more pounds ... and no more 300+!!!!

Wow! Got on the scale this morning and I'm 301 exactly! That means only two more pounds and I'm in the 200s!!! Holy Moly! Also, I'm only 5 pounds away from the half-way point in the pounds I have to lose. Just over seven and a half months post-op ... 141 total lbs gone ... WHO'DA THUNK IT!!! Oh yeah ... my latest WOW! moment: I had a good friend I hadn't seen in about two years walk right past me yesterday in WallieMart ... she looked straight at me and just sailed right on past. At first I thought ... "HUH?" ... so I called out her name. She turned around and looked at me for about a second or two ... and then started saying "OMG!OMG!! I didn't even recognize you!!!" I didn't think I'd changed that much ... but it was a pretty nice WOW moment. ((((HUGS TO EVERYONE!!!))) Myra 442/430/301/150 HW/SW/CW/GW AFTERTHOUGHT: See, THIS is why I appreciate this particular forum and all of you so much ... I'm just now getting down to the weight where I would suspect the majority of WLS patients begin their journeys. Only those who are or have been in the super morbidly obese range can understand the joy one can feel to be able to say "I weigh 301 lbs, I'm half-way to goal, and I'm happy!". ONLY THIS GROUP has the experiences to "get it"! So Thanks!!! for being there! Love y'all Myra

Terrific Myra I agree with you. I have lost over 160lbs and still am at the weight some people start out at. I am so grateful for this board. I cried 3 weeks ago when I fit into a size 18 pair of Jeans and they zipped. Most people start out in a whopping size 18 (as they say on other boards). So only here can we share such wonderful WOW moments. It will keep happening too, Myra, so you have lots to look forward to. I just got under 250 last week and I cant even believe it. Havent been that "thin" in over 20 years. What a miracle this surgery is. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Soos

Myra, That is FANTASTIC!!!! I truly understand what you are saying... I have lost 100 pounds and still weigh a great deal more than most WLS folks start out at. I remember when I got to the 300's... my all time high was 499 so that was a LONG road to get into the threes... I am still 379 so I am a good hundred pounds MORE than most of the ladies my height weigh who have surgery... sad that I will be able to lose 200 pounds and would STILL qualify weight-wise for surgery... UGGGGGG!!!! Anyway... I am rooting for you as you depart the 300's!!!!! HUGS Patti
