5 Big Fat ****adoodie Pounds!!!!!!

Hi smores, I went to see the doc today and I lost a grand total of ................DRUM ROLL PLEASE..........5 pounds!!!!!! How can that be? I've followed my docs instructions to the "T". I think you ladies have met the FIRST person in herstory that this surgery wont work for! I'm going back into hiding willbyafata$$forever

Thank You Candy! I had my own little party last night. It was a willby pity party. I was the only one there. Today is a new day......and I will try to just let you guys carry me though this. I hate to be a whiny complainer.........at least I was able to HAVE the WLS(I know lot of people who cant). But its just so frustrating Thank You! willby

WILLBY: i am upset, but not by your weight or numbers. i'm terribly upset at your signature and you're considering going into hiding. you WILL see a significant change, girl, just hang in there. some people start out by having to lose all their fluid from the surgery. some people lose more slowly naturally. you, my dear, could be either one or any of a hundred different things. please, please, please try to be kinder to yourself. if you are truly following your doctor's instructions to the letter, then you're a better person than i. keep up the great work and have some patience, OK? it will happen. i'll keep you in my thoughts and say an extra prayer of thanks on turkey day for having such a wonderful person to chat with. take it easy. have a wonderful rest of the week. hugs dorthe

dorthe Well.........maybe not to a "T"..........but at least to an XYZ I know I dont even have a right to complain. I know how fortunate I was even to be able to get this surgery. I swore to myself I wasnt going to play the "numbers game". Its just that I'm so frustrated right now...........and whats the FIRST thing I want to do when I'm feeling anything at all??? EAT!!!!!!!!!!! And that makes it doubly frustrating Thank you for your love and support! willby

You've lost more than you think .... You gained fluid in the hospital!! Besides.......you're losing inches and gaining muscle! Hang in there my friend... trust me you're a LOSER thru and thru!!!!!!!!

WLS ChK, Thanks for being there for me! Psychologically, I know what you said in your post is true. But a little voice inside of me is saying " See? This is just going to be yet ANOTHER diet that you try and fail" I couldnt make it through without all you Smores. willby

Hey Willby!! Tell that little voice that it's wrong.. this isn't like every other diet and it will not fail.. You will use this tool and prove succesful.. Just take your time... This isn't a race! We're gonna be SO hot and SO Skinny we'll have to change the name of this board... LOL (just kidding I love this place the way it is)

What Dorthe said!!!! She's exactly correct - the weight loss can be slow at first but the surgery will work!!!! It's hard to be patient, especially after what we've been through to get here. The bariatric coordinator at the hospital where I had my surgery, says that everyone thinks they will be the one person in history that the surgery doesn't work for - and they are always wrong!!! Just like everyone's personality is different, everyone's body is different too. Your weight WiLL start to come off, when it's dang good and ready mind you, but it will!!! In the meantime, you have US and we're always open! I know it's frustrating (to say the least) but please hang in there and get out from under that chair!! It is SO true about the fluids we come home with from being in the hospital! That's probably gone now, and you'll start losing, you'll see! I have a coworker who's sister in law had the surgery about a year ago, and she kept telling me the girl wasn't losing (or didn't seem to be). Then one day, after she hadn't seen her in about 2 months, she said the girl was finally losing and really looked different. She told her that she wasn't doing anything different, just all of a sudden her body let the weight go. The other thing that add's to the frustration is seeing some people lose 30 lbs their first month, or more, and we didn't!!! So try dear Willby not to read those posts!!! I know it's hard - but if you keep on following your doc's instructions and stay positive, you'll start losing like the big loser you are LOL LOL LOL LOL!!! Carol When I read all of the supportive posts on here (including yours) it always makes me want to cry. You guys are so giving and supportive. I couldnt do this without you! I agree that everyones body is different. BUT WHY DID I HAVE TO GET A FAT ONE????? I will try to be patient...........and remember what you said. I think maybe I did gain a lot of fluid weight in the hospital I appreciate your love and encouragement willby
